Event Cricket.
SMALL PLAN. BIG MOMENT.

COLOR CRICKET / How-To

From first plan to a saved date.

Your input stays in this browser. Opening a calendar link sends the event details to that calendar service.

01

Name your event

1. Open the generator. The website starts in English; use the globe menu to choose another language. 2. Enter a short, recognisable event name. This becomes the title in your guest’s calendar. 3. You can also choose one of the examples below the generator. Replace the example title and location with your own details.

02

Set the dates and times

1. Choose the start and end dates. For a timed event, enter both a start and an end time. 2. Check All day when no specific time is needed. The end date is the last included day. 3. For an overnight event, set the end date to the following day. 4. Check any validation message before downloading.

03

Choose the right time zone

1. Choose the time zone of the event, not necessarily the time zone of the guest. 2. The initial choice uses your browser’s time zone. Change it when the event takes place elsewhere. 3. Event Cricket converts timed events to UTC. A guest’s calendar displays the equivalent local time. 4. During a clock change, some local times are skipped or occur twice. Choose an unambiguous time if the generator shows a warning.

04

Add the practical details

1. Enter the venue and address, or paste your online meeting link in Location. 2. Use Description for the agenda, preparation or joining instructions. 3. Choose a reminder if you want one included in the calendar file. Google and Outlook links use the calendar service’s own reminder settings. 4. Keep confidential information out of files or links you plan to share widely.

05

Check the live preview

1. Read the event title, dates, time zone and location in the preview. 2. Check the description and the last day of a multi-day event. 3. Your input stays in this browser. Switching languages does not replace your event details. 4. This version has no account storage: download your file before leaving the page.

06

Download and import your calendar file

1. Click Download calendar file to save an .ics file. 2. Open it in Apple Calendar or Outlook, or import it through your calendar app’s import function. 3. Review the event and confirm that you want to add it. The file does not add events silently. 4. Check the time and any reminder after importing; calendar apps can apply their own reminder settings. 5. Send the file as an attachment if you want others to add the same event.

07

Use calendar links and share the website

1. Open Google Calendar or Outlook to create a filled-in event draft. Review it and save it yourself. 2. Use Copy Google Calendar link to share a link to that draft with your guests. Opening it sends the event details to Google. 3. The Facebook, WhatsApp, email, copy and more buttons below the page share Event Cricket itself, never your event details. 4. Shared files and links do not update automatically. Send new details when plans change and ask guests to replace their old event.

Workbench

One series. Every date included.

A training programme, a weekend away or a full season: keep every date together.

  1. Create your first event

Enter the details and check the live calendar preview.

  2. Add the next dates

Choose New event, or select an earlier event and use Copy. Switch between dates in the row above the form.

  3. Download everything together

The main download and share buttons include your entire series in one .ics file.
